I keep seeing breeding guides that tell me to use Dittos when using the Destiny Knot tactic to bring over stats. I don't have a Ditto yet with the IVs I need, however I'm current breeding 2 Heracross.
The female has Perfect HP/Atk/SpDef and Adamant Nature and Moxie. She's holding the Everstone. The male has Def/Spd perfect IVs and is holding the Destiny Knot.
I guess my major question is, do I have to do all this with a Ditto or can I keep with what I'm doing and hope for the best? Is the rate of transfer better with the Ditto? I've been breeding them for about an hour and they never seem to have more than 2 or 3 of the Max IVs.
