>>37034270The BW starters weren’t widely accepted and there was a big stink about that hence this board, but the only time this board was overly negative was after the release of ORAS. XY was mediocre as fuck and had its flaws, but it was the first 3D game and we were still optimistic and the PSS was great for trade threads and whatnot, there was a shitload of activity and actual discussion on /vp/ at that time. Then ORAS came out and people really started bitching, but it still wasn’t THAT bad, there was just not a lot of hype, not nearly enough for GEN 3 CONFIRMED because it was just watered down Emerald. And fucking GO hit the scene and the quality of posts around here fucking plummeted. However leak season saved /vp/ for a minute when SM came out, but then the starter final form leaks were revealed, and we saw the gameplay... then it came out, and it’s just been toxic around here ever since. SM was just so bad. Then there was a minimal resurgence for USM, but we quickly learned that it was negligibly different from SM, and the board fell into absolute despair, pining for the next gen to come out already even though we’re barely in mid gen at this point. Then LGPE was announced and more and more of it was revealed... and the rest is history. Th-thanks Game Freak.
