ash reset and leaving Serena behind makes no sense either, or at least it will be the worst possible ending.
Really, the only good ending is Ash winning the league and the waifu. Son/daugther the new protag in alola with pikachu descendant or just a starter pokemon (everyone in the world knows pikachu and pokemon already, you dont have to keep pikachu around for publicity) with Ash, Serena and pikachu cameos.
