>>35382063>>35382150As for Darth Vader, he only looks evil from the point of view of the protagonist, Luke Skywalker. Vader is an unbelievably brutal taskmaster, punishing his underlings failures with death, but this is actually LESS extreme than what most ancient armies practiced (The romans for example, executed 1/10 of a failed legion if they performed in a way their leader deemed cowardly). Star Wars, despite what people say, is mostly a battle of Good vs Not Quite as Good. Even Emperor Palpatine isn't entirely evil, he wanted to be the Emperor because he thought he'd be a better ruler than that shitty council ever was. Sure, he's corrupted a bit by greed and hatred, but that's exactly where he gets his Sith powers from (Greed and Hatred) so it's more of a case of his means corrupting his ends. The Empire is Knight Templar level at worst. The rebel Alliance, morally, is on the same level as The Empire. They see the Empire as cruel and corrupt and seek to replace it with something they think is better. But they're really no better than The empire because they achieve this means through warfare, ie: killing and stealing (their only means, to be fair, because The Empire doesn't allow reform, forcing its opponents to their level)
Oh and all these pictueres with my posts are because I felt like posting pics I never really have a chance to post but saved a while ago and like.
