>>54132798It's simply the worst of the 5 good generations. Much better than Gens 6+, but Gen 2 has a lot of issues. Everyone already knows these issues from countless discussions on the topic, like the level curve, Pokemon distribution, shit gym leaders, small and boring region, neutered Kanto, shittiest post-game ever (even Cerulean Cave and Mewtwo is better than Mt. Silver), and so on.
I have to stress that Gen 2 is not bad, it's way more fun and well put together than, say, Sword and Shield or LGPE, but it has a lot of flaws, and it has Sinnoh-dex syndrome where there are so few memorable Johto native lines since half the dex is found in Kanto or evolved from Kanto.
