>>20640252Yeah, exactly. Gen V made some pretty alright Pokemon, as well. Krookodile's one I really like personally, and Joltik's ridiculously cute, especially in those comics you've probably seen. I personally don't like every Pokemon in /any/ generation, and I'm sure nobody does, so a few "meh" designs shouldn't turn you off from an entire gen.
That said, I really like the quality > quantity approach that Gen VI's created.
I didn't get the new PMD for the same reasons, not to mention that I don't spend a lot of money on games (partially because I can't), but PMD: Explorers of Time has an awesome storyline and I would recommend it. It's quite challenging, too.
I'd also recommend Pokemon Snap from the Wii's Virtual Console if you have a Wii. My friend gave me his Wii after he upgraded to Wii U, and it came with Snap. It's a short game, but it's really quite fun and inventive.
(I'd also try Ocarina of Time if you haven't, also on VC, great game)
Rumble... my younger sibling bought that, and I played a round or two. It's okay, mostly a button-masher with a gotta-catch-'em-all thing attached.
