I'm always surprised there are people who don't realize what's up at Game Freak. Sugimori, Omura, and Ariga alone are enough to make it pretty clear what direction the staff tastes lean in. Not all of them have exclusive tastes or anything, but it's pretty obvious what's up. If go and check their twitters and you'll pretty quickly catch what's going on:

(Also, I swear I've seen a tweet by Sugimori where he was talking about a friend giving him something fun at a convention and it's a manga about a little girl pissing on things or something).
