It would be kino to see Ash interacting with Miette on a long time basis since Miette's assertiveness could easily get past Ash's "obliviousness" which imo is really just a lack of motivation to flirt with girls and a convenient way to not get sidetracked from battling and stuff. I think it's obvious that Ash isn't actually "dense" since he's shown to be pretty perceptive at times.
