Are there pokemon that don’t seem worthy to have their typing in terms of their designs/lore?

Dedenne looks like it should’ve been a pure electric type. Because the majority the fairy designs so far either have been:
>Designed to look like fairies or mythical creatures/beings that share elements of fairies (angels, dryads, magical girls, nature spirits, etc.)
>Are based on animals/creatures that are associated with one of the conceptual themes of the type (Rabbits for the moon theme for instance. Which is why fairy has a lot of rabbit-looking pokemonAlthough I blame Usagi from Sailor Moon as the main character of a franchise consisting of magical girls is named after a rabbit.)
>Not referenced by fairies but are fairies because their inspirations or species name has “fairy” on it (Swirlx and it’s evo are fairy floss/cakes, Snubull and it’s evo are pink/purple bulldogs that are called fairies. Although pink is a common color associated with fairies anyway)
The type seemed simple enough to understand why the fairy pokemon have this type. It seemed as simple as Dragon as it’s mostly different representations of dragons, reptilian creatures, or animals/things that are called dragons different culture (seahorses in Japan). But this little shit? Its not even called a fairy in dex. There is nothing magical or folklorish about it’s design and mice aren't really associated with the moon. They clearly slapped fairy on it to make it unique from the other pikaclones. Probably make people think its strong from looking at Fairy’s matchups but in reality it doesn’t live up to the type alongside it’s origin. I fucking hate this little shit for owning a type that it has no business having.
