>>37647319Different anon, same business. Translations are one of, if not the last thing to be done. It's one of the easiest ways to save money because it's the last thing necessary for a release. There is no sense in translating something only to cut it again and require a potential retranslation. I have never, ever been handed a project I had already worked on.
A lot of the stuff I work on is sent out within a few days. A few lower-end projects I worked on didn't even bother with an NDA, because they would be posting it online within hours of us finishing the translation. It was literally not worth the law fees to get it done.

Can't say I had that kind of experience that he had, since I didn't work industrial/business side (I worked strictly as a translator for documents and a few executives) but I eventually stagnated in the job I was in because they wanted me to go to mainland China full time. I love America too much. I'd consider Japan since the people are actually decent, but the few times I was in China I was counting the days until I left. You'll never end up in foreigner-friendly places like Hong Kong or Taiwan.
