PMD: Sands of Iron - has lots of rape stuff and violence. But it's a medium-sized comic, like 50 pages or something. It's the darkest I've seen for PMD.
Some anon recently self-shilled his called 'Lonesome No More' about an Absol MC that travels alone and takes on violent jobs. She drinks a lot, swears a lot, and passes out in bars. But half of it is about reminiscing over childhood and young love so you might not care (lots of intense kissing and almost sex). It's not really a PMD world like the games (not like I care). They have seedy towns with bars and prostitutes. Townsfolk cheer while criminals get executed. They live in a stratocracy with military controlling the population and drafting. She isn't in the army but they kinda fucked her life over. It's dark but also not super dark. MC is rough on the outside but good inside, and won't hesitate to kill scum.
It think it's my personal new fav as far as PMD goes. It's also not too long. You can binge it in a full afternoon. If the author is lurking here, you did an amazing job.
