>>45035045The proof is the fact that adaptations like the anime and manga make the towns bigger. Even Pokemon Origins, a more straightforward adaptation of the game, made the towns bigger. At least it did in the beginning then they got lazy and just copied the game towns. If they were literally meant to be that small, the anime/manga wouldn't make them bigger.
