I don't know. If we're playing the insanity card, it's not going to make a ton of sense. Maybe that's cheap, and a way to get around fleshing out the story, but eh. I wasn't entirely put off. He's obviously unstable.
Sycamore, on the other hand, broke my heart. I'm not sure if he didn't give a shit about anything, but he never even seemed to panic- or feel anything in particular. I'm irked that he's just like "well, Lysandre's dead or crushed or something. have a parade."
and then, in X, he's all "welp, you've been exposed to some radiation or something. iunno. it maybe did a thing."
I was just expecting more or something. I wanted him to be smarter- I even thought he might be the champion. BUT~ sigh. We don't always get what we want.
