>>20753182Crazy idea; Slaking doesn't need support in a doubles battle. Here's how I've been doing it.
Lead with Slaking and another pokemon that can be equaly threatening the next turn, say a set up sweeper like Mega Gyarados. If the opponent has a Fake Out user, they will waste Fake Out on Slaking while your other partner has a much greater chance of setting up safely. If one or both of them have Protect, they will waste that turn letting you set up. If they don't try to prevent Slaking from moving, they will eat a Choice Band Giga Impact or whatever else to the face.
You cam even use the old bait & switch, letting whoever is targeting Slaking to eat Rough Skin Rocky Helmet Garchomp instead or activate the ability of one of your team mates.
