>>56390449With three Pokémon left, we send out Brunown. While Aerodactyl flies up, we use Double Team in hopes of evading its attack. Aerodactyl's attack connects, but Brunown's AncientPower is enough to take it out, leaving Brock with his last Pokémon, Kabutops, who takes out Brunown with Aqua Jet.
With Lettuce's HP so low and bound to fall with its burn, it may come down to Charmeleon to win this battle with Thunderbolt or Focus Blast. It's just a matter of who to send out first. We decide on Lettuce and try to use Giga Drain, but there's no way to prevent it from fainting to Kabutops's faster Rock Slide. It all comes down to Kabutops. Do we trust in Focus Blast, or risk not dealing enough damage with Thunderbolt? Turns out, it doesn't matter because Kabutops is fast enough to one-shot with Waterfall anyway. One loss.
In the second battle, Klaus has much, MUCH better luck and one-shots Golem with Crabhammer. Then it gets a critical hit Dig against Kabutops, and pierces Tyranitar's defense boost from Curse with a critical hit Crabhammer. Magcargo poses no threat and faints to Crabhammer as well, and the only thing Shuckle is able to do before fainting is tank one hit and get Klaus poisoned with Toxic.
We don't get the full crab sweep though, since Aerodactyl's Fly is more than enough to take Klaus down. We send in Ballsack, who's able to two-shot Aerodactyl with Surf despite taking major damage from Fly. Our quickest rematch fight yet comes to a close, and Brock hands over the gold Boulderbadge. We still haven't beaten one of these in one try, though...
