I mean seriously, I don't think it ever was their goal, yes I know they come from eggs and the wilderness and shit and the main idea is that they are magical pets that you catch yourself like bugs/animals but yeah, suspension of belief. again, pic verily related, there is no argument here. at all.
as for the rest, I am glad there's someone I can fully agree with here on /vp/ and that is not either a dumb kid or the average vlad the fucking implier trying to be edgy. in a way I understand why people around here praise so much BW's plot: it's comparative to the others. it certainly is different and trying to be deeper, and it is, but being deeper than the average pokémon game plot? eh, not the greatest accomplishment if you ask me. not that I'd like to go into details about this, I've seen people around here unironically discussing Team Rocket's character development in the anime. just typing that makes me cringe. so, yeah, we have that kind of people too, don't bother with them.
another minor thing I could argue with: N being shoved down our throats and battling us every 5 minutes? that didn't happen. not that it changes much.
