>>36591738Seems like all other monster taming RPGs have breeding/fusion as a central mechanic. Their difficulty stems from making the ideal monster rather than the battle itself, like you mentioned. Pokemon is different because it has a much bigger emphasis on the bond you have with your pokemon and breeding is entirely optional. Pokemon games are missing the key component of monster taming games, which is probably why they were never particulary difficult. I don't see it ever being implemented either, since it goes against pokemon's core philosophy of love and friendship.
