It's pokemon. The open world was the most natural step in the games evolution. In it's absolute base form this game series is the absolute pinnacle of turn based rpg design. This game is just so shittily crafted depsite of that. Literally if any other company made this game it would have probably been one of if not the best games to ever exist.
Pokemon was a fluke. Like if some shitty retard accidentally stumbled on reality bending abilities but only used it to perform magic tricks at birthday parties. The abilities are an incredible marvel but are completely wasted on this miserable fuck.
