They have hinted alot of stuff going on for a grand finale of sixth gen. So the thing is, if they are going to make it really grand, meaning Z would have a lot more shit going on and actually redeem its gen in a style, we can count on Pokemon franchise. They can do a lot of things, add AZOTH location, play with new formes, add more lore and build a coherent plot. Z has fuckton of potential, so if it turns out to be mediocre, I cant really see Pokemon being good again. I mean, its formula still will work, but we wont be able to count on actually good games.
They know what they can achieve, so the upcoming game is all or nothing in my opinion.
