I think Air Slash wouldn't be out of the question in Gen 8 on Sceptile now that pokemon like Gallade, Kartana, Aegislash, and Inteleon get it. While U-Turn can also be used on special sets as we've seen with pokemon like Accelgor, patching up the special movepool would allow it to play more different playstyles, rather than just get out easier without diminishing the pokemon it struggles against. I agree with you on the Typhlosion part, too.
