In later news, I didn't do much today, but I spent most of my time getting ready for Fantina.And I'm trying to decide who I should bring.

Also on a semi-related note. I haven't had this issue come up before and figured I should ask the thread.
I know the general consensus on such matters is usually "it's your run, do what you wanna do", but for the sake of argument, following my dumb gimmick ruleset, do you think I should make encounters with pokemon falling into types I'm literally unable to use now fall under something like Dupes clause, or should that count as my encounter and tough shit I have to deal with it as an unusable encounter?
Had an encounter with a Cleffa in Mount Coronet and caught it without thinking and only then did I realize that fairy-types are literally unusuable now, so I released it.
I just want to set a standard for my runs going forward since this is the first time my gimmick ruleset made this come up, and I'm not sure which I should do.
