He's a very good player though, purely from his dominance of the randbats ladder alone this can be acknowledged and I'm glad he's sharing his talents with VGC as most showdown players never do. Cash prize is probably a good incentive.
Michael is also young enough. I don't think anyone on smogon over the age of 25 is going to suddenly want to get in to VGC as most of them have established lives irl by that point and view smogon as a hobby and VGC as a cringe waste of time.
