>>56380302At least personally, when genwunners were much more vocal, I just didn't agree with how they'd always shove in your face that old game good new game SHIT without even giving the basic courtesy of playing them. These days they've largely moved on though, so kind of petty to continue holding a grudge against them.
And moreover, I've even come to agree with them at this point. As I've continued to play the games, considering what I like or don't like about them, watching what the modern games do wrong, I've come to realize there's a lot they did right the first time that would be gradually stripped away over time, without anything really being added or changed to accommodate it.
