After a long day in the sweltering heat, working in a cramped office building, surrounded by people I frankly don't like, it's nice to be done for the night.
As I had to stay overtime, It's gotten late out and the streets of Celadon are empty. When it's this hot out it's a bit hard to concentrate, I can barely keep myself awake as I head to the street corner to catch the only bus that's running at this hour. After a couple of minutes, my bus pulls up to the stop and lets me on.
Like usual at this time of night, the bus is totally empty, there's no one but me and the driver riding at this hour. As I walk to the back, I notice one more passenger, there's a ninetales laying at the back of the bus, spread across the back seats where I usually sit! I'm not letting an animal steal my spot. As if she was reading my mind, an irritated scowl starts to form across her face while I walk towards my seat. Ignoring the fox's angry glare, I walk up and sit down beside her, before being startled by an angry yelp.
Quickly realizing what I did, I jolt up from my seat and look down into her eyes. In my stupor I must have accidentally sat on one of her tails and it must have hurt pretty bad, as she looks furious. A deep feminine voice rings in my head, "Filthy human, I'll teach you manners!", which must be her speaking to me somehow, telepathically.
In a moment of confusion, I reply out loud to the ninetales, "Oops, I'm sorry, I didn't see you there!", but it doesn't do much to quell her anger, as her eyes begin to burn a deep red.
Her voice booms in my head again, "Such a heinous act cannot go unpunished", as I hear another growl from her, "Your children, and your children's children will feel the effects of your actions here!"
