My team was typically always Sceptile, Gardevoir, Aggron, Torkoal as the main stays and Walrein/Relicanth/Wailord and Skarmory/Dusclops as the last 2 members to fullfil certain duties.
I never really understood where the meme of Sceptile being fucking terrible in gen 3 when it really wasn't, for a normal playthrough it was a perfectly fine Pokemon in most respects, especially in a place full of Water types as Hoenn and it gets amazing coverage unlike Meganium for instance, so it could absolutely keep up.
