If you actually catch and use them you have gone from young genius trainer on a quest to faggot who picks the easy mode and ruins the mood. You are meant to perservere with a group of friendly pokemon who you caught when they were youg and inexperienced like you, that you travelled and grew with. Your strength lies in that bond.
