>>54333294I agree 100% and can argue that VGC in general is for rich people and people with too much free time/cash as you need to go to so many events etc playing cart feels pointless. I like to breed and "bond" but at the end of the day it's just pixels and they should do what Blizzard (fuck them and Activision) did for Arena servers and just let you use anything that's legal in a Stadium like setting where you can tweak the mons to how you like then lock it in.
TL;DR: as long as it takes beyond a reasonable amount of time/effort to build a pokemon team than a person can actively spend playing the game competitively there will ALWAYS be people "cheating with generated mons just for that extra edge of just getting in more games.
And with that said there's still autists that bring their favorite mons and work teams just around them that make it to top rankings every year and that's the kind of player I want to be (with some strong supports to make it work of course).
