>>52546525It's both really. The base rate feels fine, it's not so common that it's ridiculous, but with the nature of the game, it's more common if specifically pay attention.
The mixture of the nature of the game AND the shiny charm results in it being ridiculously common. I found the Forretress in that pic while just walking around, no sandwich active. 1/1400 is kind of insane when it's common to just insta-generate 10 mons at a time while not even trying. It's a WORLD of difference compared to before where you had to deliberately enter combat.
I don't mind it, they're still cool, but now it's make me want other cool rare things (which I guess is what marks are meant to be?)
