>>13281577I'd like to know the answer to this question.
Comparing bare numbers from deviantFart and Pixiv makes it appear as if Gallade was noticeably more popular outside of Japan than within it.
Outside of Japan:
-Gallade enjoying roughly half the amount of recognition that Gardevoir gets.
Inside Japan:
-Gallade is about as popular as Bisharp and possibly enjoying less than 1/4th of recognition that Gardevoir gets.
...aaaand there is also hatred of Gallade:
Outside of Japan:
-angry social justice comments and whining on the net about how Gallade shouldn't exist.
Inside of Japan:
-a sizeable selection of anti-Gallade artwork featuring him ending up beaten for his cis-scummed behaviour to the point of lying in the pool of his blood, as well as at least a couple of artworks featuring him being murdered by angry Gardevoir.
I... I hope I am just blowing things out of proportions regarding Japan's attitude to Gallade.
pic-related: one of those Japanese artworks drawn by artists who genuinely love him.
