The National Dex council, seeing Finch's post, immediately banned them while Finch is trying to convince the OU council to do the same. The ban was done behind closed doors, no elaboration has been given beyond "it's uncompetitive". When pressed they either say other options are uncomparable or are probably going to be banned as well, going as far as to consider banning fucking Quick Draw from G-Slowbro and claiming that Finch in no way influenced or started the discussion despite their announcement post directly calling out his initial post as the reason it was being done.
That had a meltdown on Showdown today when pressed on the issue, culminating in the Room Owner rage-muting at least three-to-five people and trying to choke out all discussion of it by saying it was "tiring to deal with" and that "nobody really wanted it back" despite over half the room arguing with the mods at that point.
