I love the Gym system in this game. They have good coverage to various defenses, and having to enter only as many Pokémon as them makes it very enjoyable to figure out my strategy from my limited Nuzlocke roster. I have so many Flying, Bug, and Grass types in my box.
However, the slowness bothers me. I don't like the exquisitely limited TM selection for no reason and the fact that one has to go through this Strength Glove dialogue each and every time. It reminds me of Link's Awakening and the piece of power garbage.
