Racist Gym Leader uses Bug-types, has the sprite of one of the Sinnoh Frontier Brains, and he has a Lv. 10 Heracross and Lv. 12 Beautifly. I get the Twinkle Badge from him, and he tells me to get out of his damn sight. He REALLY hates foreigners.
There are now trainers on the routes; all of them have Pokémon higher than that of the Gym Leader. Between the fact that I'm getting literal pocket change for my battles and the steep level curve, this game is very poorly balanced; it seems like I'm going to have to grind on wilds pretty soon because trainers' levels are growing faster than mine and I'm literally funneling all my experience to just one Pokémon. I don't know what Jagold was thinking, usually his hacks' level curves don't shit the bed until toward the end.
