Yes it could be considered trivial, but when it's changed along with the dialogue it's obviously for a reason.
I believe it's for the small hint of her liking the M!MC, whilst with the F!MC it's more of a high admiration, and that's why she's not as shy saying something like what she does compared to basically telling a guy she wants to be "with him"
Along with the general gist you gave of 'yeah it's given that she likes MC' i think it's obvious we're held in her highest regard, and i simply think from the dialogue coupled with it that she "loves" the M!MC, and likes the F!MC
