The issue was people from outside of the thread being assholes
This was something that happened in mid-2024, I used him for the OP twice in succession in May and someone from outside of the thread rolled in complaining about it on the second thread. I took a break from posting him because of that, I didn't use him for OP at all in June. I used him once in July and once in August, August was when people complained about it again.
It was also around this same time that people from the "edgyverse" threads started to pop back up. These people just hated our content for existing. In one of these threads, in early August, they accused us of being trannies and brought him up as "evidence". This only ever happened once because they failed to resurrect the "edgyverse" threads. In response to these things I didn't use him for all of September. I used him twice in October, including for the Halloween thread, and I haven't used him since. This is the only Tesoro piece left to use, and the passage of time makes these complaints bizarre.
In November the creator revealed that they lost motivation to post about him here because of those outsider's shitty comments. I lose sleep over that.
In retrospect, I agree that it was a stupid decision to use him as OP too often but what people are forgetting is that I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR OUTSIDERS’ SHITTY BEHAVIOR and HATERS WILL HATE US NO MATTER WHAT. The irony is that randos stopped getting mad about Tesoro around the same time (or before) he was given up on. I’m not blaming anyone but myself, because ultimately my actions started it all (albeit wholly unintentionally), but the solution occurred at the same time that people now felt like there was no solution. It just sucks because I never wanted any of this to happen and something that both the creator and I (and fans) liked got ruined. I'm sorry for all of it and I'm sorry you had to be a bystander.
