Being able to predict can singlehandedly win you battles, as well as being able to identify your opponent's sets right from teambuilding. Murkrow would've probably died if I didn't guess his Magnemite was an Eviolite version: his team's weakness to Snover and the fact he already has a scarf snover just led me that a scarf magnemite would've been out of place on his team.
The above paragraph doesn't work most of the time on the Showdown ladder, as it's filled with faggots.
