>>32234923I like animalistic designs just as much as humanoid designs, but Typhlosion's fire still looks bad to me. Cyndaquil's looked cool because its fire mimicked the quills of an echidna. Quilava's fire looks kinda like the beginnings of a spiky mane, or a mohawk. Typhlosion could have carried on the quill and/or the mane by having the fire run straight down its head and back, and it would honestly would look kinda sweet, but the way it's designed just looks goofy to me. It's like a silly, popped collar, which kinda detracts from the whole savage animal look.
