>>38140793Thanks mate. Had an old Leaf Green run I did a while back. It actually got me to love a lot of the kanto mons I didn't enjoy before, and Clefable went from being something I disliked to my 2nd favorite mon period, partially thanks to the love I developed for it in this run (although it was a Clefairy cuz no stones). I even went out of my way to grab every single Ribbon for it I could, I loved that fairy that much.
Sadly a lot of my favorites and ones I got attached to died, but this is also the first run where my Starter didn't die, so that was a plus.
As for the Moltres, well, I somehow managed to actually not encounter anything on the mountain, so it was a legit capture. I used to laugh at the blind bird, but this run made me actually appreciate the OG Fire Bird quite a lot more. I never realized just strong it was until I did this run, I guess it's just outclassed but it's absolutely solid on its own.
Currently the entire team is living it up in Alola, taking pictures and doing what they do, and my Clefable is the centerpiece of almost all teams I do and is the pokemon I'd honestly consider to be my truest Partner, even though Clefable as a species isn't my favorite, just because she always seems to pull through for me and carry a game when I need it most.
Anyone else got a story like that? I have some hilarious tales behind the team, such as how my Clefairy (as a Clefairy) managed to beat Palmer by itself. Somehow.
