Just like every single Pokemon spawned by Sugimori himself that he keeps pushing onto people, and Charizard, while not a big favorite of mine, is recognizable with the added bonus of not being an eyesore like Luke

But what makes Greninja's smash inclusion more special is that instead of being added to add further fuel to an ongoing pushed mon, he was chosen by Sakurai based on the designs own merits, which is the same reason I chose Greninja too. I remember when i first saw him in my 3ds screen, one of the first things i thought was "Now THIS guy would be awesome in Smash", and look how it ended up. The potential in its design is instantly palpable.
