"Ready to attack, Ashley?" the young man asked. Ashley stayed silent.
The rocket elites had found Pokemon trainer, Ash Ketchum. Team Rocket was an organization he did not like.
Suddenly, Ashley rushed past the young man and wrapped her arms around Ash. "No!" she cried, "I can't do it!"
Ash Ketchum was in awe, "What are you doing?!" The young man was confused, "What do you mean no?!"
"I love him, Brett!" Ashley said turning to the young man as she let go of Ash, "I've always idolized him for the longest time, but never told anyone."
The young man growled, "But, he's the enemy!" Ashley turned back to Ash, "Not in my book. Even if I have to quit Team Rocket just to be with him, I'll take that chance!"
With that, Ashley kissed Ash on the cheek, much to his dismay.
The young man was shocked, "I think I'm gonna be sick!" He then snapped out of it.
"Alright, Ashley." the young man sated as he took out a pokeball, "It looks like I'll have to take you down too."
Ashley pushed Ash back, "Run, my love! I'll hold him off!" "But,...!" started Ash, still confused at what just happened.
"Just go!" Ashley stated. With that, Ash ran off. Ashley took out a pokeball too, "Okay, Brett. Let's dance!"
In this what if story, Ashley never falls in love with Brock and instead grows feelings for Ash. She also quits Team Rocket as a result and her and Brett become enemies.
