Reuniclus made me realize just how important and strong crits are, something Caitlin on her own cannot get and that is really detrimental to her dps. The def buffs are really nothing special when it would be much stronger if she could buff her speed or crit instead, since DPS is the best defense right now. Move gauge is okay but most of the time it just feels like trying to fix Reuniclus' awful speed problem, after the two uses are done for you are kind of a slow sitting duck. And having to stop attacking every one-two hits to refill your gauge is just as boring and annoying.
She hits hardish at least, but if you don't have a partner buffing your crit rate to at least +2 she really does nothing impressive. I feel like Feraligatr, despite its much lower Attack, can hit much harder than Caitlin because he can crit so often, but he can also miss so that's not necessarily a point against Caitlin.
Plus, on one hand there is no content right now requiring the same amount of DPS that the likes of Olivia and Brendan can put out, but on the other hand that also means there is no need for Caitlin. Especially if you have Xatu, which is really amazing.
