I’m not saying I support any of these theories or find them likely, but these are just a few examples to illustrate that they haven’t written themselves into a corner in any way (yet). Even though the writers have a crappy track record in terms of character goodbyes, I do think they’ll at least make sure to take care of Serena’s feelings in some way when she inevitably leaves.

I think the whole logic behind it is a few things.

- Both have a connection to Bonnie
- Both have confidence issues
- Have Pokemon that dislike each other

In those things people thing they can relate to each other better than Ash/Serena can. In addition:

- Ash isn't interested in love.
- Bonnie is looking for a wife for her brother.
- Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie are temporary characters, while Ash is not.

Thing is, this is the metagame of fairies, rayyyy lmao, aerilate megamence and smogonbird with priority flying attacks. You also still have the faster genies and pranksters (Burn) to contend with. In paper, this Mega-Machamp is OP but vis-a-vis the current pokes ruling the metagame, this is just about similar to a Machamp compared to the regular non-mega ubers.

Would /vp/ like to play a pokemon game that happens between RBY and GSC? Remakes are enjoyable but they are very stale with the addition of updated graphics and gameplay but in the end it's the same story.

Consider this, after RBY Red defeats team rocket, rogue rocket agents develop small factions all around kanto, and some migrate to johto. At the beginning of the game Red gets all his pokemon stolen from him. He receives one of the Johto starters to help aid him in getting back his pokemon. Down the line you get back Charizard, Blastiose, Venusaur (Sort of a Yellow tribute, getting the starters), Snorlax, Lapras, Eevee, Pikachu. You start the first half of the game in kanto (no gyms) where you realize you are no way strong enough, so you journey to Johto in order to get stronger. After the 8 Badges you go back to Kanto to defeat the rocket factions, restore the gyms and get back your Pikachu (could make a mega pikachu, special move pikachu, idk).

What do you guys think? I would honestly not buy a RBY, GSC remakes again if it's just the same story.

If it's Blaziken still then it's definitely a move, if not he just got switched out and the other pokemon happened to be Combusken.

There's no doubt it's temporary and will fade after the battle, so the name shouldn't change either even if it's default.
