No, the point of the movie isn't "science/technology bad", the point is, regardless of who or what you are, you decide the kind of person you get to be, for good or for bad, and nobody has the right to say what your are or what you aren't.
To quote another movie, "You are who YOU choose to be"
The movie, regardless of the langauge explictly says this, multiple times. It's as subtle as a brick to the face and yet somehow dipshits still miss it
