Here's a picture I finished drawing today to use as a portrait for Murdoch in his tabletop iteration.

His parents both studied Biotechnology, and were the ones that inspired him to want to learn that field of knowledge. While his father openly held the sentiment that Pokémon weren't to be trusted, his mother had hopes that humans and Pokèmon would one day be able to not be at odds with one another anymore. Unfortunately, her misjudgment of character in the Homeland's native Pokémon population led her to underestimate exactly how much of a danger they were... and ultimately led her to her death when rescuing Murdoch after he'd suffered a grievous wound from one.
>>48186573Mienshao just so happens to be one of the six Pokémon that had wronged Murdoch when he was still young. Mienshao's event happened about a year after his mother was killed, but also about a year before he was kidnapped by Orzabal and Curtonix.
How did the two of these fellows meet, again?

If this were him back when he were younger before everything fell apart, he'd have no proper means of defending himself and would call out for his much more well-equipped colleagues to come to his aid. If it were in the middle of the wilderness and he didn't have anything with him, well... he'd run as fast as his stubby little legs could carry him and find a place to hide until she walks off. He's far too weak to take on a Pokémon by himself, after all. While he has a galaxy brain level of intellect, he IS only human, after all.
