>>20752514>>20752559If we want go down this road then Charizard would be the best choice since it's unique from the other Fire-types, being the only one not pure fire and having the best movepool. Also if you're doing Gen 3 remakes it has the highest special attack. Not counting Moltres here obv. Venusaur is pretty similar to other grass-types and Blastoise doesn't have anything to make it stand out from other water-types. iirc speedrunners tend to go with Charmander.
But really the story mode is piss easy regardless of what starter you pick so just use your favorite design. Blastoise being totally outclassed won't stop me from using it.
