It is a game with a major plot development around energy which is a giant political hot button issue. It is political, I'm sorry that you would like it to be a happy apolitical safespace with all the evil /pol/ boogeymen everywhere else but it is political, as are a wide variety of issues touched upon in millions of stories that you might think are 'harmless'.
