at 40 defense sanguito has a 6.25% chance of OHKOing it with u-turn and an 81.5% chance of OHKOing it with x-scissor
at 50 defense sanguito has a 0% chance of OHKOing it with u-turn or x-scissor
sanguito has middling attack and almost unbeatable speed. there are quite a few bugs in our dex which are stronger but they are slower too. megahorn is a OHKO from pretty much any bug in our dex with decent attack unless cerebulb has defense of 65+ but also most megahorn users are slower.
considering all of this and cerebulbs electric typing i'd say 40 defense and a little more speed will be the best way to make it viable with a low defense stat.
>all of this is without held items or evs btw.90 speed is just enough to out speed a lot of dangerous bugs and allow it to at least get in a hit or do some preparation.
