X and Y honeslty had stellar pokemon distribution and a neat dex, introduced trainer customization and pokemon amie, and even had some great exploration like Lumiose City and Route 15. It's much more fun to play than later entries like SM and SwSh. It's problems are it's story, characters, missing features(per usual), and some failed experiments like the Gogoat ride. Honestly, I think Kalos would've been well-liked and even considered one of the best regions if it had a third version to fix all of it's problems.
