How can anyone actually believe that Sprites were better than Models?

Gen 1 sprites were absolutely terrible even if they do have a certain charm to them.
Gen 2 sprites were fantastic but were held back by the 8-bit hardware and color limitations.
Gen 3 sprites were pretty bad as a whole.
Gen 4 sprites were mostly good.
Gen 5 sprites would have been 10/10 if not for the terrible blurry tweening "animations" and the awful zoom in on backsprites.
