Then of course, it was the pokémon itself that eat the stone, rather than being forced it by another trainer. Face it, Rowlet isn't evolving as it's entirely far too popular in the Generation and makes the franchise lots and lots and lots of money. Only an idiot would evolve it to a less-popular form at this stage.
