Quagsire is bro-tier.>Evolved T>Caught a Gligar (Ground/Flying is a kick-ass type combo) who I named Shakespear (get it? he's pointy) and threw into my team because I needed a 6th member.>Now I'm grinding him up to level 25 and everyone else to level 30 so that I can make it through "Fossil Cavern"Along with a bunch of uninteresting stuff like teaching Quagsire Water Pulse and Brick Break (he has some awesome type-coverage now) and Cyndaquil (who is still a Cyndaquil, yeah. Might evolve her after I get the 4th badge - Might.) now knows Aerial Ace.
Only bad thing about Shakespear is his moveset. It's kind of shitty. I mean, I just got him, but still. It's horrid. Quick Attack/Secret Power/Sand-Attack/Poison Sting. I hope I can evolve him - There are Gen IV/V mons in this hack, so who knows.
I'm doing pretty well. 2 deaths at the 3rd badge is a record for me. It was all just luck that the Gym Leaders had types I could easily sweep through though. Curious to see what Erika's placeholder uses (I hope it's not Water-type, my team isn't prepared for that at all).
